Deconstructing Kate
About
Father Nick Llewellyn likes being a priest, even if his parish is dying. He likes order and routine and spending hours writing homilies that show off his background in philosophy because priests aren’t permanent so there’s no point in getting attached to anyone. But now his school principal’s out on medical leave and he doesn’t do parish schools. Not anymore.
Sister Kate Stanley (or is it Schneider?) can’t go back to Mill Grove, and the cardinal does not want her in Chicago, so she’s stuck wherever the Bishop of Dixon is willing to send her. Father Nick needs a principal, and she needs a place to live. Autistic with sensory-seeking ADHD, the papers called Sister Kate the “Gang Nun,” and now Father Nick is stuck with her.
She can’t go back.
He can’t move on.
Can they guide each other back to who they were destined to become?
